General Information


THE STUDENT HEALTH CENTER operates as a medical care facility. Some services offered include, but are not limited to:

  • Physical examinations
  • Illness/injury care and follow-up
  • Chronic illnesses care
  • Gynecological exams
  • STD/HIV testing
  • Health promotion counseling

There is no charge to see the physicians, nurse practitioner, or nurse. Appointments are necessary. Most laboratory tests such as throat cultures, urine cultures, complete blood counts, mononucleosis screenings are sent to a reference laboratory and a fee is charged. There is a charge for medications, immunizations, injections, and some procedures.

The Emergency Room at Grady Memorial Hospital is available to students when the Health Center is closed. Call your R.A. / R.L.C. or Public Safety at x2222 for assistance with transportation. If you have an emergency, please call 9-911 for assistance.

Students who are ill and miss classes are responsible for notifying their professors concerning missed classes/assignments. Written excuses are not issued.

All new students are required to complete a Medical History Form prior to coming to campus. All immunizations for new students must be current prior to the beginning of classes. Click here for the required Student Health Forms.

All medical records are strictly confidential and no information is released without written authorization from the student in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio. Medical records are kept for 10 years after leaving school, then destroyed. Requesting any part of your medical records requires a written authorization and a processing fee.
